That’s okay and it’s normal. You need to worry only if you’re doing nothing with your life.

Hi, I am Rakesh Deshpande. I am the Author of the book: What’s the Sunshine of Your Life?. I love writing articles and really enjoy creating videos for a lively experience. I found my passion for sharing knowledge about technologies and the key aspects to succeed and stay happy in life. In short, I am a Computer Science Engineer, Author, Technical Writer, Researcher, and a Stage Actor.

You aren’t motivated to do anything. You don’t feel a rush within you to do anything. I get you and that’s okay. It’s normal. The goal isn’t to be perfect but it is to be true and happy with yourself.

There are a few questions that demands for your honest answer. Pledge that you’ll be nothing but honest to yourself. The moment you cheat yourself, you are the destroyer of your creator (your creative mind). I hope I made my point here. Let’s begin!

  1. Did you find the root cause that is making you feel not motivated enough?

Most of the times it is our mental ability to absorb things. I will explain it in detail. If it’s related to work then there are pretty good chances that you either don’t match up to the skill set required which is causing you to go through a lot of challenges day in and out or you don’t like it all ( It could be the environment or your boss aiming at you all the time or due to the pay scale ). If it’s related to your personal commitment such as relationships then you need to deep dive here. You can only succeed if you make a peace within and with your environment. You can read my book where I have mentioned every single aspect you go through in your life. If it’s personal work such as your goals or business then it’s alright. Sometimes, the intuitions reveal certain things that you need to analyze and trust them. So what’s your root cause?

2. Did you plan to resolve the root causes?

I told you. You need to worry only if you’re doing nothing with your life. If you’re planning or even struggling to plan to resolve the root causes then you don’t need to worry at all. JUST HANG IN THERE. I know it's very hard. I have been there and done that so you can do it too. Don’t hesitate if you need to fight with yourself. You know the fact that you’re not the richest in the world to be a spoiled brat. Even the richest people undergo training to resolve their conflicts and they know that it is the ONLY SECRET to find REAL MOTIVATION. You may fail several times and it hurts real bad and it should but you need to LEARN to get up and fight back. Nobody likes to waste their time, money, and energy on something which doesn’t yield anything. You aren’t losing anything here. If you fail, you learn to find other options and if you succeed then you find the motivation to achieve something. So what’s your plan to resolve the root causes?

3. Are you really planning? Worrying about it isn’t a plan.

People often confuse between “being worried” and “planning for real”. It’s natural that you worry about something which is costing you money or a lot of effort and chances of failure are pretty high. This isn’t a PLAN. It can be a foundation for your plan. Let me explain. This could be one of the solutions you can give it a try.

Step-1: Categorize the tasks you worry about in 4sections; PROBLEMS, TIME, MONEY, and EFFORT. Make a tabular column or write it on a piece of paper or on a whiteboard.

Step-2: Write the problem and tick mark for TIME, MONEY, or EFFORT which demands MAXIMUM from you. Don’t start thinking to solve this right way! hold on and finish your list.

Step-3: Prioritize the problems. Not every problem demands your full attention. Some of the problems can be ignored for some time.

Step-4: Analyse your current state. Are you mentally prepared? Are you skilled enough to compete and complete? Are you sure about it? What’s you will do with it in the next 5 years? Is it worth investing in it?

Step-5: Bridge the gaps. You need to first work on bridging the gaps. It’s hard. I know and nothing is easy in life. PULL YOURSELF UP and GET BACK.

Step-6: Do it to complete it. No matter what the circumstances you face, do it to complete it. It doesn’t work if you stop it in midway. You may not like it but that’s okay. It’s your negativity which is stopping you to do something which requires effort. FIGHT WITH IT. YOU KNOW YOU WILL WIN.

You do this and I am sure you will find your real motivation. Real motivation lies in solving the problems in your life. It’s the fight within you. Let the deserving part of you WIN. Make a smart move.
